President & Co-Founder
Looking for Ali? Like most 21st century leaders, he can usually be found at Starbucks 3-4 days a week, but not picking up his Grande Americano Misto…instead you will find him behind the counter, working as a barista. This may come across as odd for someone who has an Engineering degree from McGill, worked at McKinsey & Company, has an MBA, and most recently served as COO of one of the largest seniors housing organizations in Alberta, until you start to understand his vision.
Ali is passionate about Seniors care, particularly those living with Dementia. He is frustrated by the lack of quality options that exist today for seniors and their families when it comes to creating a meaningful quality of life both at home and within facilities as they exist today. Ali's goal to redefine the model of seniors care, from one that focus on clinical outcomes, to one that focus on customer service. Effectively, Ali would like to merge the worlds of Starbucks and Seniors Care.
Ali holds a certificate in Value Based Health Care Delivery from Harvard Business School, an MBA from INSEAD where he was selected as MBA student of the year and as one of four international MBA students of the year from the Association of MBAs. He was also named one of youngest Calgary's Top 40 under 40 recipients in 2006.
